Designed especially for safety monitors in BARN studios but open to anyone, this basic first aid class will help you know how to respond to accidents and other emergencies.

Topics to be covered include:

• Confidentiality and Good Samaritan laws. 
• Scene survey (to see if you can safely help someone) i.e. turn off machine that just cut someone, don't step where the glass is that just cut someone....Basic first aid; wounds ,burns, sprains and strains, bleeding, head injury
  
• Illness; seizures, diabetes, asthma, fainting (very brief for each)
• When to call 911
