Please join us for our first experiment in developing an Open Studio for Media Arts! We'll start off the evening with a demo and presentation from film industry veteran Courtney G. Jones (madeonmobile.tv) about using mobile devices to produce high quality films. Many of the filmmaking techniques that used to require expensive gear and years of technical learning can now be achieved using devices that we all carry around in our pockets! Courtney will walk us through some of his extensive knowledge in the field of mobile filmmaking, and hopefully inspire you to start exploring on your own.

After the presentation, we'll open up the room to more casual conversations about your Media Arts interests. Need advice on video lighting, cleaning up audio, or how to best edit your mobile phone pictures? Don’t know where to start on your creative project? Bring your questions to us and we’ll get you started down the right path. This will be a good chance for us to learn more about community interests, and for all of us to share our collective knowledge.

Whether you're a pure beginner, or a lifelong expert, this will be a good chance to learn some new techniques and network with your local media arts community. This is a free event, but please make sure to pre-register so we have a good sense of what to expect for turnout.
