Denise Kester, a well-known and talented artist from Ashland, Oregon will be demonstrating her viscosity printing technique using oil based lithography inks. She will show how to blend and resist colors as they are laid down on the plate creating textures and layers to create a monoprint. Please join us for this opportunity to see Denise's inspiring and creative process in person!

About the Instructor

Denise Kester is a renowned teacher and international artist. Animals, birds, and the natural world fill her life-affirming work with myth and stories. She has been teaching art workshops and classes for 20 years, including monoprinting, collage, mixed media, and book arts.

Denise has presented “Awaken Amplify and Sustain your Inner Artist” with Jean Houston’s Seminars and Women of Wisdom conferences of Seattle Washington. She has been an Artist in Residence at the Horace Mann School of New York. She is a recently featured artist on Oregon Public Broadcasting’s Art Beat, and Hanson Howard Gallery of Ashland, Oregon represents her. Denise's new work and works in process can be seen at her working studio in the Ashland Art Center, which is open daily to the public. Denise also shows locally at Roby King Galleries here on Bainbridge Island.
