About

“Buche de Noel” or “Yule Log” has its origins in European Christmas traditions. Made of sponge cake shaped into a Swiss Roll, frosted and decorated to resemble a miniature log. It is a technical recipe with a challenging practice of rolling a sponge, but once you figure out the art to a sponge and Swiss roll, you will be happy to share the beauty of this tradition.  Decorate with tiny marzipan mushrooms, chocolate bark, live evergreens - the options are countless and we would like to introduce this holiday treat this season.

Details:

• Each registrant is encouraged to bring one adult or youth to work with you at your workstation. The adult or youth you bring is free and will be at the same workstation with you working on one sponge cake. When you register please scroll down the screen and enter Yes or No for bringing a friend or youth

• There is a $10 materials fee for the ingredients included in a class price

• Please bring a presentation platter and couple leak proof containers to take home left-over baking and decorating supplies and a big cotton kitchen towel for rolling your cake

• To comply with WA State Health Department guidelines, please wear closed-toe shoes to class and keep your hair up
