Learn how to move beyond the basics like PLA and PETG and successfully print with more advanced materials such as ABS, ASA, nylon, polycarbonate, and fiber-filled filaments. We'll discuss some of the pitfalls, tips, and techniques for each of these materials. In particular, we'll focus on how to apply these concepts to the tools available in BARN's Tech Lab. 

Details

  • This will be primarily a lecture format with time for questions, and possibly some brief hands-on time with the printers.
  • This class is still in active development so bring your questions and help shape the direction we take!

  • Ages 14 and up are welcome.

Instructor
Nathan Abell

Nathan teaches laser cutting and soldering classes for the Tech Lab. He enjoys building 3D printers, electronic circuit design, and making Renaissance-inspired swords and daggers.
