About

Forge: Bladesmithing a Wood Carving Knife

In this two-day class at the forge, you’ll learn how to make one the most ancient yet useful tools of the woodworker, a Wood Carving Knife. First, you’ll shape your blade with the forge’s fire using hammer, tongs, and anvil. Once shaped you’ll heat treat the blade, and then sharpen it. Finally, you craft a comfortable handle that’ll fit your hands as if made for them… because it will be.

This will be a fun-packed weekend working with Yori that’ll result in a tool you’ll turn to for many years to come.

Materials

A materials fee of $25 is included in the price of this two-day class.
