About
This practical class focuses on storytelling in the horror genre and is aimed at budding filmmakers and writers. You'll learn essential narrative techniques to create gripping and terrifying stories. Led by an industry professional, the course provides a direct pathway for students to develop their skills and break into the horror filmmaking industry. Each student receives a shirt and hat.
Details
- Ages 13-18.
- Skill level: Beginner.
- Bring water and a snack.
- Bring your own computer or cellular device capable of taking photos and using Photoshop.
- While not required, you might want to watch the movie "The Breakfast Club" as we'll reference this movie.
- Registration closes Monday, June 30.
Registering Youth
- New registrants: When you register, select Others Only in the "Who Are You Registering?" section. On the next page, Add New Registrant. Create an account for your youth.
- Next time you register: You will be able to Search Registrants to select your youth.
- You may register your youth for an optional supervised lunch hour from noon-1 pm for the duration of this activity.
- Make sure to fill out your youth's emergency contact information and other details when creating their account.

A materials fee of $45, included in the price of the class, will cover everything you need.
