About

Learn how to make several kinds of soups and stews — big batches of them — for our neighbors, and a little for ourselves.

You'll take home a pint of each, but the bulk of our bounty will be distributed by Helpline House. Many of the folks who shop at the food bank at Helpline House are thrilled to take home ready-to-eat meals.

The soups will make use of the seasonal vegetables, and include both vegetarian and meat recipes.

On the menu:

  • Carrot ginger soup (vegan)
  • Lemon chicken rice soup

Helpline House is a nonprofit organization that provides social services to Bainbridge Island residents. The organization offers a variety of services, including a food bank, financial assistance, and counseling. Helpline House is free of charge to anyone in need, regardless of income.

We can't guarantee to fulfill your request but please ask! Because allergies and dietary restrictions change over time, we don't store your allergy/dietary restriction information.
