About
The herb chopper is a great tool in the kitchen, and a fun knife to forge. This compact knife that fits in your palm is well-suited to mincing herbs, nuts, and anything else your recipes call for. You'll be fully engaged with lots of action and leave with this function-inspired knife that you'll use daily in your kitchen.
We'll cover proper handling of material coming out of a hot forge with hammer, tongs, and anvil. You'll learn the basics of steel identification and heat treatment that will include how to harden your new tool by quenching and then tempering by “running colors.” And you'll learn how to sharpen your chopper with basic filing techniques while adhering to the geometries of knife making.
Come enjoy the day at the forge and walk away with a new knife for the kitchen.
