About

Piedmont is one of the most important wine regions in Italy, home of Barolo and Barbaresco, as well as other wines made from Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Cortese, and others. We'll taste through a selection of gorgeous Piedmont wines and learn about the history of the region, the grapes, viticulture and winemaking techniques, and how to select, store, and enjoy Piedmont wine.

Materials

A $20 materials fee, included in the price of the class, covers everything.

Class Policies

  • You must be registered (no drop-ins).
  • You must be 21 or older (with ID).
  • A small snack plate is provided, but please consider eating before class
  • Closed-toe shoes are require.
  • Contact BARN at least one week before class to discuss any allergies or dietary restrictions.

Christopher Gronbeck

Christopher is founder and former owner of The Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey Bar in Seattle. He has a long history as an educator in the science and environment fields, and has taught wine and spirits and cocktails classes for more than 15 years. He serves as a judge at numerous wine and spirits competitions. Christopher loves everything about BARN and is active in the Kitchen Arts Studio as well as in Woodworking and Print & Book Arts.
