About
Let’s play with flour! Come bake with us while we learn about various leavening agents such as baking soda, baking powder, and active dry yeast. You'll stir, beat, mix, and shape until your dough transforms into something amazing.
In this series of three classes, you’ll make:
- Irish soda bread using baking soda.
- Pizza using dry acting yeast.
- Naan using baking soda and baking powder.
On our pizza day, you'll learn to make the pizza dough and a simple pizza sauce from scratch.
You’ll eat in class plus have leftovers to take home to share with our families.
You'll leave with a repertoire of baking skills, including, for example, grease and flour, rest, proof, roll, and knead.
This class teaches knife skills, life skills, and culinary skills.
