About
This course provides an overview of several key tools self-published authors can use to accelerate and improve their published products. IT IS NOT a course on how to get AI to write books for you! The intent is to expose you to the tools that can help in a variety of contexts, such as:

- Planning author activities, marketing, and book launch planning.
- Evaluating competitive titles.
The primary concepts discussed include:
- Legal and ethical constraints for using AI:

- Indie author/publisher competencies:
- Deciding where AI can help.
- Prompt engineering using a SMART framework:
- AI support for prompt engineering.
AI platform tools:
- ChatGPT
- Claude (Anthropic)
- Gemini (Google)
- Midjourney
- OpenArt
Specialized author tools that rely on AI:
- Publisher Rocket (aka KDP Rocket)

While you won't have hands-on training on using these tools, you'll understand specific challenges for some participants who complete the pre-work.
