About

Let’s take our indie publishing careers to the next level by sharing knowledge and strategizing about what’s next.

All indie authors (whether you're just thinking about it, sending your first book into the world, or marketing a backlist of 20-plus titles) are invited to commiserate, share wisdom, collaborate, and mastermind next steps. Writing and self-publishing can be lonely pursuits. Let's change that. Come to listen, ask questions, or share.

Roundtables will recur monthly on the third Tuesday. Over time, we'll explore these and other questions:

  • Is indie for you?
  • How do you balance writing and business?
  • How do you find and keep readers?
  • Can you love marketing even if you hate it now?
  • What's an author brand and how do you get one?
  • Do you have to do ALL THE THINGS (like newsletters and social media and book signings) or can you choose?
  • Where are you in your indie career, and how do you level up?
  • What software and tech approaches can make indie life easier?
  • How do you work with cover designers and editors?
  • How do you grow your career from hobby to business?

You can expect:

  • Accountability
  • Brainstorming
  • Goal setting
  • Camaraderie
  • Sharing of business information

Note: This is not a critique group.
