About
This community interest group is open to everyone who wants to share skills and learn more about cosplay and costuming, sewing, armorcrafting, prop building, and more — cosplay encompasses many different skills. Each month, we help each other through projects, tackle a new theme/ability, and come together to work on our current projects.
If you want to talk about your project and what resources you may need before coming, email the organizer at behestdesigns@gmail.com
Agenda
Week 1: Monthly brainstorm day! If there's a cosplay you'd love to do but don't know how to tackle, or you have a WIP you're just plain stuck on, this is for you. Equally, if you know a thing or two (or even if you don't) and like spending time with and helping your fellow cosplayers, this is for you!
Week 2: Activity day! Articulated tails, leather straps out of EVA foam, or an overview of Inkscape and Blender; our past topics have included a bit of everything. Show up and be surprised, or check our Discord to find out exactly what we’re doing! Email methodmadnessmisc@gmail.com for a Discord invitation. Or email with your ideas for activities.
Week 3: A continuation of last week, aka activity day part two (because when have we ever finished our projects in one day?).
Week 4: A work day. Rather than completing an assigned task, bring your own project (or projects!) for show and tell, for troubleshooting, or simply to craft in the company of other cosplayers. Don’t have a project you want to bring? No problem! Everyone is welcome to come hang out.
