About

Stop motion dates back more than 125 years. A lot has changed in that time, but what remains the same is that animators move a character or object one frame at a time to make a scene. That’s exactly what you'll be doing in this camp. You'll take handmade characters and other everyday objects to make an entertaining scene and put it all together with the help of modern technology that happens to be in everyone’s pockets  their phones.

Here's what you'll learn and do:

  • Break down what stop motion is and its history
  • Come up with our “big idea”
  • Learn the tools you'll use (phone apps, etc.)
  • Light
  • Shoot
  • Edit (video and audio)
  • Present
