This useful bag is a perfect project for beginning sewists. You'll learn how to sew seams and corners, and how to insert a zipper and line your pouch. And you'll have a unique bag to use any way you want!
Materials
- A $13 materials fee, included in the cost of the class, covers everything you'll need: fusible fleece, two different fabrics, and a zipper.
- Bring your own sewing machine, or reserve one of BARN's when you register.
Prerequisites
If you'll be using a BARN machine, you must have completed Fiber Sewing Machine Certification.

Piper Tupper
Sewing
A sewing enthusiast with 42 years of sewing to her credit, Piper has been teaching sewing classes for all ages on Bainbridge Island for the last six years. She learned to sew when she was 8, starting on Barbie clothes and then moving on to apparel. Piper feels passionately that sewing should be a skill passed along to all those who have interest and because of that, she makes learning to sew approachable with patience and an ability to meet all sewists where they are.
