About
In this class you will make two beautiful poke bowls to take home for dinner.
Explore the principles of washoku, the ancient Japanese food traditions that make meal preparation fun as well as transformative for our health, incorporating ideals of colors, tastes, and textures. Our Hawaii-style summer poke bowls will celebrate local abundance and peak-season ingredients.
We'll mix up two kinds of island-style poke: a classic shoyu ahi poke and a rayu salmon poke. Then the real creativity begins as we build our big bowls of sunshine to take home. We will make all components from scratch — quick pickles, seaweed salad — and stir up some secret sauces.
There will be Hawaiian music. Every bite is aloha!
Note: This class incorporates raw fish and vegetables.
