About
Create your own tree sampler using appliqué and embroidery on wool. You'll choose a basic color scheme to work with, then appliqué pieces down, and finally, learn embroidery stitches to create texture and depth and give your tree sampler personality. The instructor will supply a drawn diagram for you to place your own design of stitches into.
You'll select a color scheme for your wool leaves, create a design, pin, and whip-stitch — anchoring all pieces in place.
You'll learn and explore design using the following:
- Back stitch
- Couching stitch
- Double cast-on stitch
- Fly stitch
- French knot
- Pekinese stitch
- Raised cup stitch
- Trellis stitch

- You may need additional time at home to complete the sampler.
- The first day of class will be held in the Small Classroom, and the second day will be held in the Fiber Arts Studio.
