Since 1988, Pi Day has been observed on March 14 to celebrate the mathematical constant π. A perfect time for a pie- making class! Learn the secrets to creating the perfect flaky crust, and a delicious, sweet filling. Embrace the mathematical spirit of the day with a delicious pie discovery!

Making pie dough doesn't have to be complicated. Your instructor will show you the equation and teach you the solution to excellent pie dough, including rolling techniques. Welcome in spring with vibrant and fruity flavors for your pie!

Materials

A materials fee of $25, included in the price of the class, will cover everything you need. 

Class Policies

  • Ages 14 and up are welcome.
  • You must wear closed-toe shoes to class.
  • You must be registered for the class (no drop-ins).

Elisa Laverty

Originally from the Olympic Peninsula, Elisa has been a Bainbridge Island resident for nine years. Her experience with baking and cooking started at a young age, being the oldest in a large family. Her professional experience in the food service industry has spanned the past decade and she remains passionate about cooking. A few of the places she has worked on the island are Bainbridge Bakers, Sweet Dahlia Bakers, Blackbird Bakery, and Good Egg.
