About

Make a glass valentine in this special, one-day class for Valentine's Day! You'll learn kiln carving, a technique for achieving bas relief, or carved effects, in your glass work by combining fusing and slumping. Kiln carving moves your glass into a 3D profile as you create texture and a sculptured nuance to your piece.

You'll choose from one of two designs – literally spelling "love," or filling the tableau with hearts. This is a perfect introduction to fused glass, or an opportunity to expand your techniques using the kiln.

Project

You'll make an 11" x 11" 3D panel to serve as a permanent valentine.

Materials

A $60 materials fee, included in the price of the class, covers everything you need.

Class Policies

  • Ages 14 and up are welcome.
