Make it snow — inside! A fun project for anyone over 12 to be introduced to the basics of stained glass.
You'll have the opportunity to create two snowflake-like star ornaments to hang in a window or on a tree. Choose the colors of your snowflakes, even mix and match to create a dazzling pattern. You'll gain knowledge of best practices for cutting glass, soldering, and combining diamond shapes into sparkling snowflakes.
Project
You'll create two three-inch snowflakes.
Materials
A $10 materials fee, included in the price of this class, will include everything you need to make your snowflakes.
Class Policies
- Ages 12 and up are welcome.
- Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required in the Glass Studio at all times.

Instructors or Guides
James (Jim) Washington
Jim Washington comes to BARN with 35 years' experience in vocational education. He has taught classes in cold, warm and hot glass, glass batching, ceramics, manufacturing, woodshop, and composites. His first love was the glass arts program in Central Kitsap, which he built and ran for 12 years.
