About
We might not be able to fly to Hawaii as often as we’d like, but there’s no reason we can’t learn to party like we’re there.
Learn how to prepare one of Hawaii's most iconic dishes — the poke bowl. You’ll learn about the history of poke, as well as how to source, select, and prepare fish. You'll whip up the three kinds of poke to create your own bowl. Learn to make your own seaweed salad, seafood salad, and quick pickled ginger along with a variety of sauces, from spicy mayo to ponzu.
On the menu:
- Shoyu ahi poke with sweet onion, fried shallots, and ponzu.
- Rayu salmon poke with chili crisp, quick-pickled ginger, and macadamia nuts.
- Tofu poke with asparagus, ginger, and sesame.
You’ll round out all that deliciousness with steamed rice, freshly made seaweed sunomono (cucumber salad) and shrimp salad with spicy mayo.
