About
Come with your questions about sourdough! You'll receive some sourdough starter to take home, and together we'll explore how to maintain it and make it work for your unique schedule and needs.
Learn to work with a banneton (a basket used to hold bread dough while it rises), and we'll have handouts and offer expert advice so you can go home confident in starting your own sourdough journey. You'll learn to create (and sample!) a variety of sourdough products.
In this class you will:
- Bake a sourdough boule.
- Work with local grains from Chimacum Valley Grainery on the Olympic Peninsula and Cairnspring Mills in Skagit Valley.
- Learn a fun discard recipe.
- Take home sourdough starter.
