About
Join us for a free community repair event! Bring up to two items, such as small appliances, clothing, lamps, vacuums, jewelry, or small electronics. Our experienced fixers will attempt repairs and share their knowledge, helping you learn valuable repair skills. This collaborative initiative between Kitsap County Solid Waste Division, Sustainable Bainbridge, and BARN, with support from the Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island, promotes sustainability, waste reduction, and community skill-sharing while helping participants extend the life of their belongings.
To participate, bring your clean items (along with any relevant manuals or parts) to the event. Fix-it consultations are available on a first-come, first-served, basis. All participants must check in at the welcome table and be present during repairs. While our volunteer fixers will do their best, successful repairs can't be guaranteed. Fixers will attempt repairs on one item at a time. If there's time, you can join the line again with your second item.
The Fix-it Fair welcomes both participants and volunteers. If you have repair skills to share or wish to support this community initiative, consider registering as a volunteer here to join Kitsap County’s team of volunteer fixers or event helpers. Bring a friend and help spread the word. Together, we can build a more resilient and sustainable community through the power of repair!
