About

Blacksmithing: Make a Hand-Forged Twisted Wall Hook

This is an introductory blacksmithing class that will introduce you to skills and techniques that will become a base of knowledge as you pursue blacksmithing. You will learn to make a handy and decorative wall-mounted hook. You will use hammer, tongs, anvil, punch, and forge while learning to draw out, twist, bend, flatten, and pierce a 3/8” square piece of mild steel. Handling hot metal, and hammering technique and control will be central to this experience.

This class is in an open-air workshop, so dress accordingly.
