About

Forge yourself a plant hanger while learning and practicing proper skills for material handling in the blacksmith shop. You'll learn how to join pieces together and open the doors to creativity at the anvil.

You'll also learn shop safety, proper hammering styles, drawing, tapering, punching, drifting, riveting, bending, mortise and tenon, and how to blacken steel.

This will be an action-packed day with a lot of moving parts beginning by forging a hook with a punched and drifted eye. The hook is riveted to a loop and then attached to a swivel hook with a tenon. In the end, folks will wonder at both the elegant plants you grow and the hanger you forged!
