Project
Here are this month's projects.
Culinary Arts: Make lemon bars featuring a shortbread crust recipe. A delightful treat to master as summer approaches.
Media: Have fun playing improv games where we work together to make up scenes on the spot from random suggestions. We will spend the evening laughing and discovering that it can be fun getting up in front of an audience of our peers.
Print & Book: Using knowledge and skills of papercraft and book arts, create your very own bee-themed pocket journal.
Tech Lab: Put together a bipedal walking bot and customize and decorate it.
Woodworking: Craft a whistle while learning and using new skills and tools.
Writers' Studio: Poetry is a powerful tool of resistance. It allows individuals to express dissent, challenge power structures, and advocate for social change. Art inspires dialogue and thus, action.
You will look at some poems and write poems and prose of your own. Sharing what you write will be optional.
"Authoritarians have always understood a certain truth: creativity is a threat to their power. - Human Rights Foundation
Casual Crafts: Come create with seven different craft options. Spend your time perfecting one, sample a few, or try your hand at all seven. You are welcome to bring their own project to work on as well.
