About
Instructor Judy Zugish developed and exhibited this style of basket in galleries from many years. The process of combining bark and creative skills into new forms is "joywork" for Judy — hence the title!
Create a basket that incorporates a variety of willow bark with various roots, vines and branches. A bountiful garden produced this delicious material, and years of Judy's experimentation with a very cool twill weave will appeal to the adventurous weaver. Willow barks and some root, vine, and branch inclusions offer quite a plateful for artistic sculpting. Think of this project as somewhat like fusion cuisine — a bit spicy and very refreshing.
