Project

Here are some details on this month's projects!

Culinary Arts:Students will develop and utilize multiple culinary skills including organization, coordination, and creativity to create delicious and fan-favorite baked goods.

Fiber Arts:Learn to weave a potholder on a handheld loom, playing with patterns and color.

Glass Arts:A fun session creating 2-3 fused glass holiday ornaments: snowflakes, snowmen, trees, or whatever you dream up!

Media Arts:Teens will have fun playing improv games where they work together to make up scenes on the spot from random suggestions. They will spend the evening laughing and discovering that it can be fun getting up in front of an audience of their peers.

Metal Fabrication:There's something electrifying about cutting metal with a plasma torch. It's like wielding a mini lightning bolt, turning raw sheet steel into gleaming decorations. It is a blend of creativity and precision—creating masterpieces out of metal, one spark at a time.

Print & Book Arts:Printmaking with LEGO! Create unique works of art using everyone's favorite plastic building blocks, ink, and paper.

Woodworking:Create something that is both functional and beautiful. Students will use the scroll saw and bandsaw to cut out the shapes and fine-tune a half-lap joint to connect the two pieces. The pieces come apart and can be used as trivets or they can sit connected as a table ornament. Students can embellish and decorate their pieces as time permits.

Casual Crafts:Come create with seven different craft options. Spend your time perfecting one, sample a few, or try your hand at all seven. Students are welcome to bring their own project to work on as well.
