About

Make a beautiful and practical pizza peel as you learn how to use a variety of woodworking tools.

In the first session, you'll choose wood strips to lay out, joint the edges so they're perfectly flat and square, and learn how to properly glue and clamp wood strips together. You'll also have a chance to make the peel your own by designing a custom shape or other details.

In the second session, you'll cut out the shape with a bandsaw, fine-tune the shape with large sanders, and work on edge profiling with files and orbital sanders.

To finish your peel, you can apply a food-safe butcher block oil that will bring out the beauty of the wood and protect it.

Time permitting, you'll also be able to make one or more other wooden tools that are handy to have in a kitchen.
